LUXBMX.COM is an award-winning, rider-owned Online BMX Retailer located in Brisbane, Australia.
Founded by Mitch Wood and Evan Jaques in 2010 LUXBMX started with deep roots in BMX. Both Mitch and Ev have been life long BMX heads, contributing to the scene for years pre-LUXBMX. It was clear that both these guys were on a path to LUXBMX from very early on. With a common goal in mind, the two set out to create the best BMX Store they could.
LUXBMX Store first opened in a little back alley just off Wickham St, in the Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The shop itself was located in an almost century-old building that spent the majority of its life as a printing press and in later years a basement storage area. The "hole in the wall" quickly became an iconic location at the forefront of Brisbane's laneway revolution.
After 5 years LUXBMX moved to a bigger location in the Brisbane suburb of the West End. Placed in a former bikie clubhouse, the West End store carried the same gritty charm of the original location but gave the ability to offer a much wider range and even better service. The clubhouse was the perfect spot for Video and product launches as well as Pro rider "meet and greets".
10 years on, with the massive growth of online retail, it was clear that LUXBMX had yet again outgrown its location, and a bigger warehouse in Woolloongabba was required to service the greater customer base.
With the vast majority of our customers never needing to step into our store, the warehouse in Woolloongabba gave the LUXBMX team (of now 12 riders) the ability to offer the riders of Brisbane, Australia, and the rest of the globe the most epic service possible coupled with the biggest and best range of BMX bikes, products, and streetwear.
